Industries
During my university studies, I specialized in mechanical engineering. When I worked full-time at a translation agency specializing in technical texts, I was able to further expand this knowledge. I have translated numerous texts, such as manuals, operating instructions, instructions for use, software, etc., in a large variety of fields (e.g. laser devices, measuring and control instruments, air conditioning, automation, machine tools, pumps, energy efficiency, optical systems, etc.). I would be happy to familiarize myself with your special field.
During my studies, I gained insight into the translation of contracts and specialized use of language in legal contexts. Therefore, I have already translated numerous contracts and agreements in the past.
I studied business studies as a minor as part of my translation studies. This gives me the perfect basis for this field. I specialized in services management, as well as marketing, finance & investment and accounting.
My final thesis in the context of my translation studies dealt with family law (https://ialt.philol.uni-leipzig.de/es/studium/abs chlussarbeiten/2006/). It provides the basis for this special field. In 2006, I was appointed and sworn in by the regional court of Rottweil, so that I am entitled to offer certified translations in the language pairs Spanish-German and Romanian-German.
Some of the translations I have performed include manuals, operating instructions and software for irradiation equipment, therapy systems and ultrasound devices.
Previous translations include, in particular, clinical research studies, drug approvals, package leaflets (SmPC and PIL acc. to EMA templates) and so on.
I have translated numerous software texts in a large variety of fields, such as SAP, ERP, finances, as well as user interfaces for machines (HMI, controls, CNC). For software translations, it is not only important to use the correct terminology, but also to observe length restrictions so that the text fits in the relevant fields.
Certified translation
If you have to submit documents to authorities, they often require a translation performed by an officially approved translator. In 2006, I was sworn in by the regional court of Rottweil, so that I am entitled to offer certified translations in the language pairs Spanish-German and Romanian-German.
Proofreading / review / revision
If the "four-eyes principle" is needed for one of your translations, I am happy to proofread texts created/translated by you or other translators.
